Troubleshooting notifications
Not getting alerts? Work through this checklist to fix common notification issues.
Push notification checklist
1. Is SeatDrop installed? Check if SeatDrop appears on your home screen. If not, install it.
2. Are notifications allowed? Check your device's notification settings. SeatDrop needs permission to send alerts. See Turn on notifications for step-by-step instructions.
3. Is Do Not Disturb off? DND mode silences notifications. Turn it off or add SeatDrop as an exception.
4. Is the alert still active? Check the My Alerts page. If the showtime has passed, the alert has expired. Alerts stop monitoring after the showtime date.
5. Did the seats actually open up? SeatDrop only alerts you when a seat you're monitoring changes from taken to available. If no one cancels, there's nothing to alert about.
SMS checklist
1. Did you enter the correct phone number? Double-check the number on your alert in the My Alerts page.
2. Are you receiving other texts? If your phone isn't receiving any texts, the issue is with your carrier, not SeatDrop.
3. Have you hit the SMS limit? SMS alerts are limited to 2 active alerts with up to 50 seats each. Consider switching to push notifications for higher limits.
